Around six months ago, the first one broke and we bought an extra set of four goblets to replace the broken one and in the off chance that another one would break. Within the last month we've had two more goblets break and are debating whether or not to continue replacing the goblets or to buy a different set. It seems that there's some defect in the way the glass was blown because they only break when we are setting them in the dishwasher upside down.

(More customer reviews)I needed twenty glasses for a brunch and didn't want to spend a lot, so I bought several boxes of glasses at Ikea. Most of the glasses broke within a few months, and the ones that didn't break were so scratched up, I was embarrassed to put them out. I tried again with glasses from Pier 1 and had the same experience.
I (finally) did some research and learned that these Libbey glasses are used by restaurants, so I knew they'd be tough. Sure enough, they've held up beautifully. Not one has broken and they still look like new. They also feel more substantial in the hand. We like the goblets so much, we bought two boxes of Libbey tumblers.

(More customer reviews)I agree these are a great value and look good too. The inner side of the rim is a little more square than the outer, which is about what you can expect at this price and it is fine for me.
The problem I have is that we have already broken 2 or 3 glasses just separating them after they had been stacked (only 2 high). They are too fragile that way and shouldn't be marketed as stackable if they are not really stackable.

Libbey 16-Piece Swerve Glassware Set Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered these glasses to have extra for a party. Fun shape drew compliments. I now shuffled them in to use as my everyday glasses (all matching!), but I do have concerns with cleaning the larger glass. With no dishwasher, I handwash everything and I find it hard to reach down into the recesses at the base of the tall curved glass. The smaller one is fine--my hand reaches.

(More customer reviews)I bought a set of these at Target last year and have received lots and lots of compliments on them! They're not only interesting to look at, but they're comfortable to use. The bottom is thick and sturdy. I have broken a few of them, but likely because I sent them flying. You can safely knock these over a few times before you lose one. Nice glassware set.

(More customer reviews)I was so excited when I found these. They coordinate with my dishes so well. Many years ago I had this color but they were discontinued and I had to replace them with clear glasses. When I saw this color had returned, I had to buy them. As the previous poster mentioned, they break easier than the average glass. We have only had these a few months, and have lost several glasses already. They either broke in the dishwasher or as we took them out of the cupboard. It is surprising because they seem like such sturdy glasses. I am still glad I have them as they do look so nice with my dishes. We originally bought more than we needed to allow for breakage, but never figured we would break so many so soon. I am thinking of getting another set to keep on hand.

+ Available at Dollar Tree, so you can easily replace all the ones you break. And you WILL break them. Tap the glass against another glass? Crack! Tap the glass against the kitchen faucet? Crack! Wash the glass in warm water, then stack it on another glass? Crack! Scowl at the glass, knowing it's going to betray you and crack? Crack!The Bad:
- For having such a hefty base, these glasses are INCREDIBLY thin on top and on the sides, and seem to crack so easily. We bought this set for our first kitchen, and have already lost four. After we replaced two (thanks Dollar Tree), we decided we'd let the rest of this set meet its untimely end, then replace it with something sturdier.
- These glasses are really unevenly weighted. It makes them feel ungainly, in my opinion.
