(More customer reviews)I purchased this as a 'project item' meaning to customize it for my own uses. It arrived exactly as described, and faster than I expected. It is a semi-coarse, self supporting filter media embedded with carbon. It cuts easily with boning shears to fit some obsolete or custom blower units. I use it as a secondary filter after a large particle filter and before a HEPA style filter for a continually dusty area. I feel it works well for my situation.

Honeywell 21500 Enviracaire True HEPA Filter Review

(More customer reviews)Before ordering a replacement HEPA filter for your Honeywell (or other brand) Air Cleaner, be sure to check the model number on the unit. This filter is for four Enviracare Models (51500, 61500, 11520, and 17200). I replace my HEPA filter every year because I am very allergic to cigarette smoke, pollens, dust, molds, and other allergens and irritants. Honeywell suggests that you replace your HEPA filter every 1-3 years. Also, this HEPA filter has pre-filters which wrap around it, so you may want to order a box of those, too. Honeywell recommends that the pre-filters be changed every 3 months, but I've found if I vacuum them at least once a month, I can keep them longer. I really like my HEPA filters because they remove so much dust and pet hair from the air.

The reason is your shipping costs which are outragious. The shipping costs more than the product itself and here I can go to Drugstore.com where it is free shipping and the item is less also.
I do buy books periodically from this site and do not remember such a high shipping cost. You can well be assured I will find out before I buy.
Satisfied but yet unsatisfied customer.

(More customer reviews)I ordered the Blueair filters from the Recording Store, and they were not shipped until 5 days after the order was placed which resulted in longer shipping time than from other retailers. They were genuine Blueair filters and arrived in good shape.
With regard to others complaints about not having the charcoal filter, that's true, but after visiting the Blueair web site, it looks like Blueair has changed their manufacturing process and now include active carbon in the polypropylene portion of the filter.

(More customer reviews)I tried the Smokestop filter for the Blueair 402 model, but these are the exact same, only different sized to accommodate the larger models. If you have any issue with odors or cigarette smoke, this is the filter to get.
I had an extreme situation where there was a methane leak in my neighborhood. The fumes were claimed by authorities to be "safe," but I and many other neighbors suffered from headaches, dizziness and nauseousness. The fumes burned at your eyes and it was pretty unbearable. Well, turns out this was to recur for the next few nights, and with no other place to stay, I invested in a Smokestop filter to temporarily replace my particle filter. It was INCREDIBLE. Immediately, all the fumes in the room were swept up by the Blueair and I was able to spend my time in this room with no health issues. (Whenever I left the room to another part of the house, all the previously mentioned symptoms returned.)
What's the difference between the Smokestop and the regular particle filter? This filter has a layer of activated charcoal that captures odors, and still has the familiar particle filtering layers, all built into one. Simple concept, and yes, a lot of other air cleaners have charcoal, but this one is specific to the Blueair and it's unique air-cleaning technology. After my experience with the noxious fumes in my home, I am completely sold on the effectiveness of this product. If you have any odor issues in your home, then spring a little extra dough for these filters. They are well worth the extra bucks.

Hamilton Beach Febreze 04291F Odor Removal Filter for Tobacco Review

(More customer reviews)I got the febreeze odor eliminator as a baby shower gift for the nursery. We have neighbors that smoke and the smell sometimes gets in to the baby's room so I got this filter when it was time to replace the one already in the odor eliminator and it works wonders. The smell from his diaper genie as well as the cigarette smell is no longer in his room. I would recommended this as the replacement filter even if you don't have smokers in your home.
