I hosed the curtain off for 5 seconds before water was even starting to drizzle through the other side. So if you shower like a normal person, you wont have an issue of water seeping through the other side.
Another wonderful thing about this curtain is after you shower, shake the curtain and all the water will easily come off and you don't have to worry about mildew.
All in all, I am very pleased. Not only does this look sleek (I got the black one), it is durable and cheap. You can't go wrong. I wasted so many years with those hideous plastic liners that loved to grow mildew after just a month or so, and will NEVER go back. You can also wash it to make sure it is always fresh.
This curtain uses 12 hooks like all the other ones. It can also double as a regular curtain, it certainly would look nice (but you can practically see through it so it would only be for looks).
