(More customer reviews)We ordered these smoke alarms, which were supposed to have a 10 year "life." When we received them, they were all 6 years past the production date and had only 4 years of "life" left before they expired. We contacted the seller and they said we could return them, but we had to pay return shipping ($10.69 parcel post,) and there would be a $5.00 re-stocking fee. We contacted them again and asked for a free return shipping label, since these were so far past their new date, and we asked them to waive the re-stocking fee. They replied that we should have specified that we wanted freshly manufactured units before we ordered; or we should have contacted them before ordering to be sure we were ordering units that would have 10 years of life left. (When you buy a car do you have to specify that you want one that runs?) We contacted Amazon and got back our original purchase price, but got no help with the extra $15.69 that ordering from these bums cost us. This is a scam operation and should not even be selling on Amazon. Buyer beware big time.
