(More customer reviews)3 1/2 stars When my Siberian husky developed eye problems, our vet told us to either keep her in the shade and exercise at night, or get her some sunglasses. Thankfully, Doggles make just such a thing. Thinking that this would be the solution to our problem, I was quite surprised when my dog took an instant dislike to these goggles. She would fling her head around, roll on the ground and paw violently at her face to remove them, even after weeks of training.
I later determined that the solid plastic sides of the cups cut off her peripheral vision to a point that she couldn't tolerate, and she would do anything to remove them. Though this design didn't work for my dog, I must give it high points for durability as her goggles stood up to several months of abuse and still held together. This type of Doggle would probably do well for a dog that rides in the car a lot or is constantly getting into debris i.e. search and rescue dogs.
We have had much greater success with the K9 Optix variety.
