(More customer reviews)I have two of these units. If your Humidor is right out the box, dry, it will take at least a week of this unit running non stop. Also depending on the size of your humidor. One trick I used was to shut off the display and just let it keep on running. Many people say the readout is wrong by ten degrees. I have three readouts and it is off by one or two degrees.

(More customer reviews)I would prefer something a little (a lot, really) more sturdy. While in my travel bag, the top of the case dented in, and now it will not close properly. Instead of "Survivor", I would dub this "Elegant, but Fragile, Facade".

Csonka Fully Accesorized Cigar Traveler Review

(More customer reviews)This is a very impressive looking traveling humidor, both the online image, as well as the impression you get when you first look at the case. When you open it up however, you have a slight sinking feeling that you paid too much for it. It's nice enough I suppose, and adequately serves the purpose for which I bought it for, but I did get the impression it would be a little nicer. The "spanish cedar" lining is a very thin sheet. The areas that can be filled with water are surrounded by felt-covered plastic. The cutter is very standard. I knew it came with a box of matches, but for the price, it really could come equipped with a decent lighter. Maybe I shouldn't have expected more, but I did, and I have to admit I was slightly disappointed. Guess I should've "bit the bullet" and paid a little more for a nicer one.

Boveda 2-Way Humidity Control in RH of 69 Review

(More customer reviews)These are very effective but you have to keep an eye on them. I tend to forget when I put 3-4 in my humidor and sometimes they dry up and I don't know how long they've sat in the humidor doing nothing.
I've found a much more cost effective way of keeping your humidor(s) humidified.
Buy some unscented crystal cat litter. $6.50 for 4lbs.
But some mesh media bags from Heartfelt Industries for $2.99 each. The bags are 3 x 8. Also buy the $1.99 plastic syringe.
Fill the bags with the crystals and fill the syringe twice with distilled water and inject it into the full bags. You get 68% humidity for a couple weeks before needing to put a little more water in them.
A 4lb bag will last you forever. And relieve you the cost of buying the Boveda packets en masse every 2-3 months. Much cheaper.

Cigar Save It Review

(More customer reviews)Just what I wanted to keep an expensive hand rolled cigar in the condition that you could finish it the next day if need be. This is the only way recommended in the "Idiot's guide to cigars" for keeping a started cigar for longer than 15mins after it has gone out. Expandable (just pull lightly), titanium look, and the bottom easily screws off for a total washing. Has a handy pocket-clip as well.
